In a Republic, actually
‘Chief Justice John Roberts on Tuesday blasted what he called "illegitimate activity" aimed at undermining the independence of the judiciary. While facing criticism of contentious court rulings is part of the job for judges, some recent actions have crossed the line, Roberts said in his annual end-of-year report.

He outlined four areas of concern: violence, intimidation, disinformation and threats to defy court judgments. All four "undermine our Republic, and are wholly unacceptable," Roberts wrote.

He did not specify many concrete examples of conduct that concern him, but the Supreme Court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, has faced a barrage of scrutiny since the 2022 ruling to overturn decades of abortion rights in the landmark Roe v. Wade case.’

What undermines our Republic and is wholly unacceptable is a blind partisan Court dominated by conservative ideologues who ignore 50 years of settled, accepted case law in favor of partisan rightwing dogma.

Moreover, when 4 members of a 9 member Court are credibly accused of taking and accepting bribes from wealthy individuals, special interests, and corrupt corporations, contempt for this Court is perfectly appropriate and warranted.

Roberts realizes this court is HIS legacy. Instead of correcting the behavior that is tainting the legitimacy of his court, he chooses to attack those who are criticizing their actions.

Beyond legally questionable decisions that appear partisan. Roberts has allowed his court to accept lavish gifts from partisan donors and show blatant political alliances

Legal Scholars will condemn the legacy of the Robert’s Court

The roberts court will go down in history as the most corrupt court since the founding.

Corrupt and partisan

They are more than just Conservative, they are blatantly Republican

Their bizarre decision on Presidential immunity will go down as one of the worst in history

Roberts is a crybaby

Stand up and defend your decisions. Don’t cry when people ridicule them ….own it

Roberts legitimizing Obamacare as a tax was his biggest sophistry and failure IMO. Then refusing to consider the Brunson case was even bigger, and clearly demonstrated the court going along with the stolen election of 2020. Roberts demonstrated that SCOTUS was every bit as corrupt as the other 2 branches.

The Robert’s Court has lost credibility with the people.
The Supreme Court used to be our most trusted Government institution.

And they put their thumbs on the scale for Trump too just like Loose Cannon did.
