This is really sad, Chicago shootings had been down for a few months and it was looking like maybe it was stabilizing. But now over 100 shootings in 3 weeks and many dead, you wonder if it is backlash to the influx of immigrants into the city.

No arrests have been made in any of the attacks. The number of shootings rivals Memorial Day weekend, when at least 42 people were shot between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Tuesday. Nine people were shot to death that weekend.

1200 shootings is around the yearly average just out of Chicago. That is more than the entire remainder of the US combined. That's why I call Chicago the Killing Fields and had a thread called Black Deaths Matter documenting the murders.

Dude, Chicago typically sees about 700 MURDERS per year and over 2000 shootings. That makes Chicago far and away the most dangerous city in America.

Parties are target rich environments. The link between outside temperatures and violent crime is a pretty solid one. Only the why is really debatable for instance are there more rapes because more people are out at night, because people are feeling more whatever, or because the people who are out are more scantily clad.
