History is one thing, but understanding that not all forms of socialism have been practiced is another part of History you need to understand.

America is in principle a land of religious freedom. Believe whatever but be a good citizen. As for socialism there are no socialist nations, Google it if you doubt. All nations vary in their ideas and ideals. Some here think social security is socialism but try to take from the old folk and see what happens.
