Celebrating Bonsai

I love Bonsai.....

I understand how difficult it is to grow them.
I had one or two when I was active duty and I like growing them today.
I still fear starting one because you have to spend time with them.
They're like pets....but they outlive you if taken care of properly.

This one is a Japanese Juniper....estimated to be 350 years old.....

I saw a collection in Chicago years ago.... they can be downright stunning.
I think it would be a cool hobby myself.

I produce plenty of Bonsai each year as I attempt my gardening projects. Bonsai Tomatoes, peas, carrots, lettuce.. corn. It's often quite stunning considering so many people have told me doing something wrong. But now I know exactly what to tell them. Thanks.
