Let's understand how the law is being violated by this administration.

The 100-Mile Border Zone and Enforcement Authority

Federal regulations define a specific area known as the 100-mile border zone, which covers land within 100 air miles of any external U.S. boundary. These boundaries include international land borders and the territorial sea, which extends 12 nautical miles from the coastline. Within this zone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has specific authorities to board and search railway cars and other vehicles to look for people entering the country illegally. These powers are granted to ensure officers can maintain a reasonable distance from the border for enforcement.

The CBP has jurisdiction only within the 100-mile boundary shown n this map. As you can plainly see, Minneapolis is outside of that boundary, and CBP has no business being there. Once again, we are looking at violations of the law by the federal government.

This is tyranny. This is the very thing the Second Amendment was created to stop.

so, after they get past the 100-mile boundary, they get a "Keep out of Jail" card?

Interior Enforcement and ICE Jurisdiction Across the US

Away from the borders, immigration enforcement is handled primarily by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This agency operates across the entire country to investigate violations and manage the detention and removal process. ICE is organized into three main operational divisions: Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which looks into criminal activity; Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), which handles arrests and deportations; and the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA), which represents the government in immigration court.

ICE officers have the authority to make arrests without a warrant in certain situations. To do this, an officer must have a reason to believe an individual is in the country in violation of the law. Additionally, the officer must believe the person is likely to escape before a warrant can be obtained. Once an arrest is made, the individual is typically placed into the removal process managed by the immigration court system.

The federal government also uses the 287(g) program to partner with local police and sheriff’s departments. Through written agreements, local officers can be trained and authorized to perform specific immigration functions under federal supervision. This program allows local jails to assist in identifying and processing individuals for federal immigration enforcement. However, states and cities are not required to participate in these agreements.

I'm just going to chalk this thread up to colossal ignorance.

Did you know that Minneapolis has an international airport?

.

Cute post.

I guess you're just going to go stand in front of them and slap their little wrists!

.

what's going on in the streets today is nothing more than the left pushing for the overthrow of the US capitalist economic system .. its the latest Marxist revolution ..
Incorrect. The U.S. capitalistic economic system has depended on "imported" and forced immigrant labor from the very start of this country. So deporting that labor is basically overthrowing the system.

depended on forced labor eh ? so you think the US capitalist system is a white supremacist construct eh ?

Just stating the facts.
the same crap the democratic , and revolutionary socialists are spouting .. I know what the protests are "REALLY ABOUT"... socialist groups are major organizers of the protests ..

socialist groups organizing anti ice protests

In early 2026, several prominent socialist and communist organizations have spearheaded a wave of nationwide anti-ICE protests following high-profile fatal shootings involving federal agents in cities like Minneapolis and Los Angeles
.

Primary Socialist Organizers
  • Democratic Socialists of America (DSA): The largest socialist organization in the U.S. is mobilizing a "rapid response" force of over 4,000 activists in New York City to obstruct ICE operations. Local chapters, such as the Northern Indiana DSA, are also leading rallies and demanding local non-compliance with federal immigration enforcement.
  • Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL): A Marxist-Leninist party that has organized significant demonstrations in Washington, D.C., Boston, and Philadelphia. The group is known for its "ICE Out" rallies and for providing professionally made signs and logistical support for street actions.
  • Socialist Alternative: Active in Minneapolis, this group has been a key driver of the anti-ICE general strike movement, helping to coordinate work stoppages and community blockades.
  • Independent Socialist Group (ISG): Involved in mass marches in downtown Minneapolis, advocating for working-class independent action and the abolition of ICE.

Supporting Coalitions and Networks
  • The People's Forum: A Manhattan-based movement incubator that frequently organizes pickets and rallies against federal enforcement.
  • CodePink: A feminist anti-war group that has joined socialist coalitions to protest against what they describe as "ICE terror".
  • Communist Party USA (CPUSA): Various regional branches of the CPUSA have endorsed and helped organize larger protest coalitions.
  • Revolutionary Communists of America: This group and other Marxist student organizations, like the Socialist Action Initiative at George Washington University, have been listed as endorsers of national days of action.

The map shows the situation. All you show here is that CBP should have been at the airport, not on the streets.
it says ICE has jurisdiction within the entire country...(ICE). This agency operates across the entire country to investigate violations and manage the detention and removal process.......

LEGAL immigrant and worker permit are still allowed, here, and thriving.
It's the criminal, illegal that is being expelled.
