I've always liked Trudeau and not just because he's easy on the eyes, although that certainly doesn't hurt. But I can't help but wonder how many others are aware of just how sad and disheartening that the soothing words we so need to hear, were extended to us not by our own representatives but from the leader of another nation, one which has reassured us, is still an ally.

"Now, just like I did a month ago, I want to speak first directly to the American people.globalnews.ca+1nypost.com+1
We don’t want this. We want to work with you as a friend and ally, and we don’t want to see you hurt either. But your government has chosen to do this to you. As of this morning, markets are down and inflation is set to rise dramatically all across your country.theguardian.com+2globalnews.ca+2nypost.com+2
Your government has chosen to put American jobs at risk at the thousands of workplaces that succeed because of materials from Canada, or because of consumers in Canada, or both. They’ve chosen to raise costs for American consumers on everyday essential items like groceries and gas, on major purchases like cars and homes and everything in between.globalnews.ca+1theguardian.com+1
They’ve chosen to harm American national security, impeding access to the abundant critical minerals, energy, building materials and fertilizers that we have and that the United States needs to grow and prosper.globalnews.ca+1axios.com+1
They’ve chosen to launch a trade war that will, first and foremost, harm American families.

"....Canadians are reasonable, and we are polite, but we will not back down from a fight, not when our country and the well being of everyone in it is at stake. At the moment, the U.S. tariffs came into effect in the early hours of this morning, and so did the Candian response. Canada will be implementing 25% tariffs against 155 billion dollars of goods.... "

Trudeau is WEF to the bone. He is destroying Canada. Nothing he says affects us. He is a waste of our time and a killer of Canadian freedom.

He didn't seem too concerned with us when they were producing Fentanyl and letting it flow into our country...

The border between Canada and the US is just as POROUS as is
the border between Mexico and the US

Got any data to back up that claim?

BTW a border has two sides. It's up to both countries to police it.

The amount of fentanyl coming into amerika from Canada is absolutely minimal, <1%, So this is a made up issue by trump.

Clinical impression of the inhabitants thereof. Clinical impressions (aka 'the wisdom of the streets') should NEVER be discounted

Trudeau is the son of Fidel Castro and is messing Canada up as much as possible.
I'd say your tastes are not good. Seriously. You like Trudeau's Fascism, huh?
He took peoples' money. Just took it and said they don't have it anymore.
Peoples' money that was theirs and their friends.
I do not like the Son of Castro, no.

So you don't have anything to back up your claim.
clinical impression-----so important that they show up as such
in medical journals----sometimes called "case studies". Long ago---I think it was 1981----I opened the New England Journal of Medicine and the LEAD ARTICLE was ---something ----like
'ACQUIRED COMBINED SYSTEMS IMMUNODEFICIENCY' It was
a single case study-----I thought---"so what----such a thing can happen only once"----I didn't read the article----it was a first time report on AIDS

You are right and look at the responses on this thread...

Mainly just insults because you are right..

They will definitely take nothing on board because they know you are right...

What everyone is struggling with is, what does Trump want out of this Tariff War?
Well, we know it isn't Fentanyl import reduction, cause it is effectively zero right now.

So what are the options:
Humiliate Canada because he perceives them as a threat
Try destroy Canadian economy and hope they join US

Maybe he wants less than 270% tariff on our dairy products going to Canada, or better than the 74% on Sausage, or 27% on beef and that is before this started

irosie91 is right.
As part of Canada’s Border Plan, the Government of Canada is taking concrete action to further strengthen border security, including by increasing support to law enforcement agencies to detect, intercept, and curb the illegal trade of fentanyl and precursor chemicals.

Poor Canada had to shut down their Fentanyl factory. Canada is pro New World Order and anti the USA.

Because drug traffickers keep detailed books and release their logs to the proper authorities, right?

What factory?

Give us some kind of proof... US Law enforcement say very little is coming from Canada.. Less than1%...
Why is US investing billions in <1% of the problem....

If you want actual results, spend that money on training and surveillance units for the Mexican Police... Would yield far better results, it is what US did in Columbia...

For once, I agree with something the OP said. Trudeau is indeed easy on the eyes.
