The province of Ontario and their vast army of Creepy Ones are most responsible for our continued decline. The tariffs just exposed us further.

If a nation defends it's rights of citizens and encourages innovation, they will never be beholden to anyone to such a degree that small tariffs will harm you so heavily.

We are not such a country. We have awarded knuckle draggers and viewed intelligent people as offensive. "Look at that elitist smart person, to hell with him!"

Don't blame me, I'm just the Messenger. Been de facto abolished from my own pursuits.

OTTAWA — The Canadian economy contracted in the second quarter under the weight of U.S. tariffs, Statistics Canada said Friday.

Real gross domestic product declined 1.6 per cent on an annualized basis in the second quarter thanks to a sharp drop-off in exports and business investment.

That’s down from annualized growth of two per cent in the first quarter, a figure StatCan revised down Friday from 2.2 per cent originally.

Real GDP was also down on a per-capita basis in the second quarter, swinging from a gain in the previous quarter.

U.S. President Donald Trump ramped up his tariffs against Canada and the world in the second quarter, particularly targeting steel, aluminum and autos.

Economists expected a sharp slowing in growth last quarter as businesses seemed to rush orders early in the year to get ahead of tariffs – boosting activity in the first quarter and cooling the economy off in the second.

International exports of passenger cars and light trucks plummeted 24.7 per cent in the quarter, StatCan said.

Industrial machinery, equipment and parts exports declined, as did travel services.

Canada really needs to reconsider the idea of seeking admittance as the 51st state of America.
It won't happen, certainly not any time soon though Trump may be challenging this notion.

Closer bonds economically, maybe a shared passport, I don't know, there would probably be support for that. I would have LONG preferred a defended Constitution and the civil liberty fighters Americans have over what we have in Canada at the moment, where lawyers laugh at the suggestion that our Charter has value, that's a REAL problem.

From the RCMP on down to the lowly OPP, Peel Region, DRPS and TPS, we have weaponized our nation against it's weakest citizens.

There isn't enough support for Canada at the moment. I suspect there may be in time and Trump is looking to extend this out to see if perhaps Canadians demand a change. Alberta and Saskatchewan are by far the most willing currently.

In time perhaps Manitoba and even Ontario will be interested. There is too much abuse against citizens right now from too many directions, it's hurting our freedoms and potential.

No problem, just change the definition like the MSM did here under Biden. Recession averted.
