Canada has been on its way to following Britain down a never ending drain hole. Without the US subsidies to which it has become addicted, Canada would already be there. President Trump has been administering shock treatments to save it, but its viability as a single unified entity is very much in doubt. Britain is already shedding Scotland and N. Ireland, so what makes Canada any different?

Economic (and military) union with the US seems to be the only way to reverse this decline. Whether Canadians will wake up to this reality or decide to go down with their ship of state remains to be seem. The choice is up to them.
