It's called a covert police state. It's why Europe has a free trade agreement with us yet they still export far more than they import, quite an anomaly considering Canada says that the U.S buys more from us due to their population. This theory seems to be bunk based on European purchasing habits of Canadian goods.

Europe doesn't want what we have nor will they ever defend us if it were needed regardless of how much some in Canada pretend they would. They view us as barbarians, part of an old dying East German system that was snuffed our when the wall fell.
