Last I checked, the average IQ for a doctor was about 125, which is no big deal. About the same for law. Most engineers are higher than that.

I strongly suspect that "Doctors" have highly trained good memories but are completely at sea once lateral thinking and true causative analysis are required .

It's more about discipline and dedication than raw IQ, but you need above average intelligence to take and pass either Bar ot MCATs on your own

I worked closely with my oldest son when he studied for the Bar Exam. He had a shoebox filled with handwritten notecards that I'd test him on as his study partner

Doctors need to be able to recognize complex patterns so they can diagnose properly.

Engineers need to be able to solve problems and know what references to look up to solve those problems.

Lawyers need to be able to relate current issues to previous cases and be able to defend those relations.

All require high intelligence, but different variations of it.

I have studied some Engineering courses and law courses. My daughter studied medical courses and she is a registered nurse and still goes back for more courses.
We are both a lot above average in IQ.

There was never any pressure from us as to their careers, they each took the scenic routes until they found what they loved. After seeing the effort they each put into it, it's impossible to force a kid to choose either career
