Can porch pirates sue?

I suspect that much of this may be rehearsed although some of them appear to be genuine.
I get a lot of packages delivered to my front porch as of yet I haven't had any problem with people trying to snatch them but I have heard of such things happening in my neighborhood.

It occurs to me that sooner or later one of these idiots is going to get a lawyer and go after the person who laid the trap.... Of course that would mean they would have to admit to being a thief.
Still some of this shit is hilarious!

The one that I heard of bringing a lawsuit was a porch pirate that stole a box and opened it inside his car. It was filled with black widow spiders. He was stung multiple times and nearly killed.

I have only had one package stolen from me. It was a box of doggy potty grass. It was returned, not in the box.

I support any decoy possible including serious explosives.

His mom is suing the barber shop. She literally blamed him for it. If he was nicer, her son wouldnt have done it.

Just watch the body language. If it's jerky, or they stop in camera view for a moment, it's BS.
