Cable Packages

When my wife and I retire in 2 years we're seriously considering ditching our Internet / Phone / Cable TV package altogether. Our cell phones provide telephone and text for communication, and our County Library is 20 min. away and offers free Internet. TV? Our collection of 200+ DVD's really out to be enough - Then Xfinity and their $285/Mo cable bills can get flushed down the stool!

Has anyone else done something like this? If so, how has it worked?

I dumped cable. I have kept internet. With that you can get hundreds of channels of television.
