Just about 45 minutes ago a police officer was shot in University City, Missouri in the wake of the Ferguson riots. It it was bad then, it's worse now.

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. -- A University City police officer was shot in the arm in the wake of violent protests that erupted in Ferguson.

It happened at Canton Avenue and Lamb Avenue. The officer was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be okay.

Thank your lucky stars he was not seriously injured.
