I'm sure that is the case in some places, but I think it's probably rare. It could just be the good ones refusing to believe any of their group would do such things, or if they did, it was justified by some special circumstance.

Refusing to believe is a different topic than seeing it happen and not reporting it. Also the bolded part is the defense Bucs uses all the time. Everything a cop does is justified and you know why?

The thing is....criminal cops (like all criminals) try to do their dirty shit when no one sees them. So odds are...other cops had no clue.

See here's the thing. You are debating from a place of ignorance. You've never been a cop. You have no clue about the realities of it.

Has there been a "blue wall" at some times in some places? Yes. Especially in large urban departments up North. It's eroded over the years (a good thing) as the profession has cleaned house from the 60s and 70's to modern times.

It's not so much a "blue wall" as it is a "blue phone booth". It's not common....but it's usually a 2-4 shithead cops acting together. Almost always a drug unit whose undercover work got them too deep.

But there are 1,000,000 cops. And with high turnover....probably 5-10 million living Americans are or have been a police officer at any given time.

It's like me digging up every story of a military member committing crimes and his squad mates trying to cover for him. Sure...THAT happens too...but compared to the size of our 3,000,000 military members...it's a tiny %.

But again....you're coming from a stance of ignorance because you truly don't know.
