Yeah, it was the first project ive ever done with wood, or any material for that matter. Mistakes were made. I will get better in time i think.

Yeah, thats why it took two days. I had never carved wood before. I didnt even know what tool to use, so i just sharpened a spoon and sorta dug out that pattern. The wood varnish stunk though, so I had to attach the spoon to the end of a pole with duct tape, which allowed me to be about 15 feet away as I did my spoon-on-a-stick carving. Is that how everyone else does it? It seemed like the obvious way to go about it.

Respect. I love the idea of woodworking but I know that I'd likely try to skip certain details and it would not come out as well as it should, I think I've become impatient as I age.
