At least two of these clowns were previously charged with similar counts in the 2019 election.

So far, they have been above the law. Now, let us hop they get prison time.

Three Bridgeport City Council members, the vice chair of the local Democratic Town Committee, and a Stratford resident surrendered to state police Friday at Troop G downtown on warrants charging them with crimes related to the city's 2023 election.
Charged were council members Alfredo Castillo, 53; Maria Pereira, 57; and Jazmarie Melendez, 26; as well as local party vice-chair Wanda Geter-Pataky, 68, a Democratic operative and former City Hall employee, and Margaret Joyce, 45, of Stratford. All five were released on promises to appear at the Golden Hill Street courthouse March 6.
In a statement Friday afternoon, Chief State’s Attorney Patrick J. Griffin said the charges are connected to "the misuse of absentee ballots" during the 2023 Bridgeport mayoral election cycle between Democratic Mayor Joe Ganim and his chief rival, former-ally-turned-rival John Gomes, during which leaked municipal security camera footage released by the latter's campaign appeared to show suspicious activity at a ballot box in front of the government center.

Meanwhile Geter-Pataky and Castillo already are facing charges in state court related to absentee ballot irregularities connected to the 2019 election involving Ganim and his then-rival, fellow Democrat Marilyn Moore. The prosecutor in that case said this month that a "parallel" investigation connected to that matter was in its "final stages." Castillo and Geter-Pataky are next due in court on those matters March 14.

Seems like they preyed on senior citizens a lot.

"Maria Pereira came to my home and took the ballot. She indicated that she would mail it for me. She told me what line to vote for and I sign[ed] it."

"For 4 years Maria Pereira has taken my voting ballot and stuffed it in her bag to drop it off," another resident wrote in a letter. "Maria likes to bribe the seniors, bringing them Christmas presents ... buying them food, getting them little things."

Not only prison, her right to vote should be removed also.

Goddamnit - more Republicans interfering with elections.

I thought there was no such thing as election fraud?
