Boomers, Please Stop Doing These 12 Things That Annoy Everyone

1. Stop Saying, “In My Day, Things Were Better Than They Are Now.”
2. Quit Complaining About Technology Like It’s Ruining the World.
3. Don’t Treat “Boomer Humor” Like It’s Universally Funny.
4. Please Stop Referring to Millennials and Gen Z as “Lazy.”
5. Enough with the Constant Weather Updates as Small Talk.
6. Stop Assuming Everyone Shares Your Political Views.
7. Please Don’t Give Unsolicited Advice Like You Know Best.
8. Don’t Act Like Younger Generations Don’t Know How to Work Hard.
9. Stop Using Outdated Slang Like It’s Still Cool.
10. Please Stop Acting Like Your Music Was the Only Music That Mattered.
11. Quit Expecting Everyone to Drop Everything to Call You Back.
12. Stop Assuming You’re Always the Most Experienced Voice in the Room.

Comment:
This sounds like a lot of baseless stereotyping.
Except for the one about music, it is true that Boomer music is far superior to today's music.
Boomers also had cooler cars and clothes.
The Boomers are who invented the personal computers, cellphones and the internet.
My one complaint about technology is all of the damn passwords.

“In My Day, Things Were Better Than They Are Now.”
They were WAY better.

Quit Complaining About Technology Like It’s Ruining the World.
But it is. Everything now is always "down."

Stop Referring to Millennials and Gen Z as “Lazy.”
But they are.

Don’t Give Unsolicited Advice Like You Know Best.
Age = experience.

Please Stop Acting Like Your Music Was the Only Music That Mattered.
Best music ever.

It seems like today's people are bland, they have no distinguishable style or fashion.
They are like NCP people.

Boomers, Please Stop Doing These 12 Things That Annoy Everyone

Listen you entitled little children...go eat your gummies & play video games...The adults are speaking.

Oh yeah..."adulting" for 2 whole hours last week does NOT make you an adult!

How's THAT for annoying? :)

To the idiots who represent the big lie in MSN, please stop the old left wing effort to separate Americans into categories that represent your bias. There is a new sheriff in town.

–Your grandma wore very short mini skirts, thin panties, high boots, and no bra...
–She listened to Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, and Rolling Stones.
–She rode on motorcycles and fast cars.
–She smoked tobacco and other things...
–She drank gin-tonics, whiskey, and whatever...
–She came home at 4 am and left for work in the morning...
Know that you will never be as cool as your grandma.
Excuse me but someone had to say it!
What else did she do?

Boomers:

Please stop blindly believing in the Mainstream Media.

Please stop blindly believing in every government agency.

Please stop blindly believing in every medical institution.

GRANDMA! You are talking about my sister! :smoke:

Younger person asks: How are you today?

Boomer: Can't complain, two feet down and a heartbeat. ;)

Thing is the Boomer knows that the youngin' does not care and the Boomer would rather they just STFU.

#11 is so true.

Stop Saying, “In My Day, Things Were Better Than They Are Now.”

Things that were not better in the old days…

People are not allowed to smoke wherever they want
Cars are safer and drunk driving is not tolerated
People are more tolerant of those who are different
Medical care is much better
There is more access to different types of food

As an early Gen X, I find myself saying all of that now.

The torch has been passed.

Everyone one of them striving to be different, somehow turn out exactly the same.

Like hearing my daughters giving advice to their kids who not only didn't ask for but resents it.
Then getting upset when I do the same to her, then I just remind;) her how she does it too.
