These were activist judges who were twisting the law in order to allow as many illegals as possible to remain in the US. The judges, all nearing the completion of their two-year probationary terms, were notified that the decision was made under constitutional authority: “Pursuant to Article II of the Constitution, the Attorney General has decided not to extend your term or convert it to a permanent appointment.”

Under the 1996 Expedited Removal law, potential deportees are given a hearing before a DHS/ICE agent, who then issues applicable deportation orders.
