Its a joke, though I would concur with you in as much that claiming such literally amounts to impossible stupidity.... Bruen is slowly working its way through federal court system, the NFA & GCA68 are doomed, this is indisputable, though if the nation collapses as it wends way through that system it won't matter anyway.

From what I've heard the compliance rate with the new rule is well under 10% so that means come May 1 there will be hundreds of thousands if not millions of newly-minted "felons" as far as the ATF is concerned.

Democrats attacks on Republicans nearly always rely on false assumption that jokes, hyperbole and sarcasm are meant to be interpreted completely literally.

My dad lost his .22 trapping rifle in a canoe accident once while coon trapping the James River so it does happen. He carried a revolver after that.
