Bilberries are not common in US. I've never seen them in a food store. They are used more medicinally here than for culinary use, if I'm correct.
If I'm wrong, someone please correct me here.
I eat neither. I have enjoyed huckleberries, but they're not likely to be found commonly in anyplace I've ever lived, except in places like Montana where they grow profusely in the mountains in the western part of the state. Huckleberry picking is a big deal, to the point that some immigrant populations will stake out their own picking territory and threaten those who try to horn in on their claims.
