Perhaps it can have some effect by keeping voters attention focused so they don't pass up the duty to vote, but it might even be too late to worry about that. The cake is in the oven. I posted this to show the differences. But this was not as bad a conversation as it could have got. The Trump supporter in this case was fairly reasonable.

It's not about that. It's about making the viewer feel intellectually/morally superior for harboring a set of views.
