Not really much to go on here. An "unnamed newspaper"? Would it really have been that hard to name the newspaper?

It notes, "some dropped" the comic. Is this thirty papers or three papers?
 
There was definitely an over-reaction. Those newspapers that dropped her should reconsider that decision.

King Features Syndicate supplies cartoons for almost all the newspapers.
She was syndicated and they blackballed her.
