Makes it back to the Big time with an impressive win against a higher rated opponent and achieve their best record in over a century. Would have been nice to see them in the Rose Bowl but a couple of late season losses to Iowa and Wisconsin dashed those dreams.

I've never seen a more magnificent coaching job than the Minnesota coach pulled off.
Never have I seen a team simply take the ball out of the hands of their opponents the way
the Gophers did. They ran the clock out from the middle of the fourth quarter!
Auburn was stunned and they should have been. The most wins for Minnesota since 1905....incredible!
