Big 12 approves additions of Utah, Arizona State, bringing league to 16 teams

The Big 12 bumped its membership to 16 teams beginning in 2024-25 after unanimously voting in Utah and Arizona State and welcoming Arizona.

As a BYU fan, I have mixed feelings about adding Utah to the same league again. I like the rivalry but the way Utah University and their fans acted and behaved when and while they were in the PAC 12, I wish that Utah would have been forced to Independence or to the Mountain West Conference. But, here we go with College Football!!!

The Big 12 now needs to trade WV to the ACC in exchange for Louisville. It will reduce travel costs for both conferences.

They would have. Fortunately, the Big 12 was smarter and took BYU.

byu will have a little bit of a buffer with TCU and Baylor
And many of the Ute players including whinninham are active LDS.
Kyle is such a good coach, I can see Utah dominating this conference too
