energy independence is a myth that people like to talk about to make themselves feel good. Show me a month where we did not import any oil, then we can talk about energy independence.

Also, the US does not own any of the oil coming out of the ground here, the multi-national companies that pump it also own it. So, again that does not make a country energy independent.

This is what made us more dependent on foreign oil...
