The egos of politicians are something most people couldn't imagine.

Not even considering his clear decline as his term wore on, how he looked in that debate should have been all he needed to know. I don't know if he watched the debate, and if he did, if he allowed himself to ignore how he looked. Maybe he feels younger inside than he looks outside, but I don't know how he can think he looks strong enough to continue. And I have to wonder if Jill was suffering from the same delusion.

I don't think presidencies can really be judged until a few years after they're over. But what's already clear is that there's no way he would been fit to serve another term, and this is not a good look.

Biden does not know what is going on.

He and Kamala could have used the final 10 weeks of their administration to accomplish some of the things laid out in her campaign.

Biden proved in the debate that he is SENILE.

WE BEAT MEDICARE!!

Dems should have rigged Pennsylvania more.

Just imagine how the donors who gave over $2B feel?

If the Seahawks would have run the ball, they would have won the Super Bowl.

A few years, we'll all be regretting he pulled out of the race.

Except you, Vichy Mac. You'll still be insisting you are the smartest fucking guy in the room and everyone should have listened to you.

What you wrote is in it's context absolutely correct - therefore the Democratic Party decided to elect a new presidential candidate.
Which in turn made it possible for Trump to win the election, based onto a "marginal" support, or "only" of 1.8%.

Everyone should know what a Vice-President is actually for. (maybe not Americans?? ;)).

Therefore to keep Harris or to chose a new running mate as Vice President for Biden, should have been the issue - and not to simply replace Biden with a WOMAN/a COLORED WOMEN with additionally no proficient overall political experience, aka, presenting a shitty sales-offer to the US voters.

And YES, let aside all this "economic grounds issue", factually brought up by Democrats and the Media, - to explain this Trump win.

IMO this election was primarily - for Trump or against Trump - and as such even a "demented" US president with an appropriate running mate - could very well have won the 2024 election by e.g. 1% or 1.8%, or even 2.5%.

Biden did OK as a placeholder President.

His real election screwup was not bowing out of the race last fall and letting the DEMs run a primary to select a Trump challenger.

With his terrible performance at the debate leaving his VP candidate as the only real option for the DEMs was a very bad idea.

Every Dimocrap who supported Biden dropping out is a dumb ass, is what Biden is saying.

Hell, Pelosi said he belongs on MT RUSHMORE….BUT SHE DID NOT WANT HIM TO RUN FOR A SECOND TERM.

:laughing0301: :laughing0301: :spinner: :spinner:

You dumb shits actually believe people like Pelosi. Holy shit, you people are dumb.

Yeah, the vibe was definitely that she was next in line, and I can see that. In a way, choosing someone else might have been looked at as an admission that the whole Biden administration had failed.

My guess is that inside the party most of the blame is directed at Biden for staying in to begin with. He should have done one term only and given the party a chance at a competitive nominating process.

I also wonder if the way the Dems are looking at this will have an affect on who they choose next.

Do the Demofascists who threatened to 25th his senile ass if he did not drop out regret it?

He’s wrong. It’s that simple. He would have lost.

The economy/inflation gave Trump the Presidency.

And we’ll all be sorry

Harris wasn't the problem. Had Biden withdrawn in 2023, she'd have had enough time to build a campaign and a following. She did far better than Biden would have done, had he stayed in the race.

The biggest problem with Biden staying as long as he did is that the best argument against Trump was neutered- that he's too old and not in command of his mental faculties. Kind of hard to make that argument when you held onto Biden as long as you did.

I think that you can make the argument that America was too racist/misogynistic to elect a black woman, but that's a reflection on the American people, not Harris, who was a perfectly fine candidate.

But the biggest problem was that Biden was unable to get out there and match Trump's media presence. Trump could falsely scream all day the economy was terrible and immigrants are going to kill us all, but if no one is out there countering that, that argument wins the day.

As Woody Allen once observed, "90% of success is just showing up."

Woulda, coulda, shoulda....but didn't.

Agreed.

When Democrats did surprisingly well in the 2022 midterms (Picking up governorships and senate seats and only barely losing the house), Biden incorrectly believed that was an endorsement of himself.

Mac1958 voted for biden in 2020

Would he have doubled down in 2024?

He denies it now, but does anyone believe him?

If he were forced to chose between a senile old fool or donald trump who he hates so much I wonder?

Mac1958 is a pompous ass who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room.

A few years ago, we regretted Biden not stepping aside to limit the damage he and democrats had done.

You democrat / Leninist groupies know you represent the receding leg of the intelligence bell curve yet you insist on inflicting your regressive politico-religious ideologies on others.
