We keep being told that a balanced budget and decreased federal spending are not possible without touching social safety nets like Medicare, Social Security, etc. Yet, day after day we keep finding examples like this. Imagine if the government ended all of this frivolous spending today and rooted out all the waste in what was left over.

Safe sex with goats is a thing now.

No one spent this on condems. It was a pay off for something or another. We have seen it many times.

$25 million for woman's rights in Pakistan? LOL, right.

How many condoms were actually sent there? Maybe a case of them? It’s money laundering.

Well it sort of goes with the millions the Biden administration gave to Pakistan for gender studies. I do wonder how many Pakistanis are confused about their gender?

But every one of these stories only underscores why DOGE, if it is allowed to do its job and a fiscally responsible Congress acts on its recommendations, was a really really good idea.

Edit: I was reminded it was the last spending bill signed off by Trump in 2020 that contained that money for Pakistani gender studies. The Democrat controlled Congress tucked that $10 million and lot of other little trivial items into a $2.3 trillion bill constituting more than 5,000 pages which nobody had read. Trump had no choice but to sign it or else bring a lot of grief down on a lot of people.

I imagine DOGE will look at that kind of fiasco along with many other ways that the government can save millions, billions, trillions by simply being fiscally responsible.

The new administration needs to STOP giving our tax dollars to foreign nations for frivolous nonsense. They also need to stop giving out large sums of money for idiotic research studies. It's our hard-earned money and its time they stopped thinking that it was their personal piggy bank.

From your link:

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) earmarked the cash infusion, which has not been previously reported, last July. It transmitted the funds to Afghanistan in August, according to the funding notice and congressional sources familiar with the matter.

Where is the "FUNDING NOTICE" and what congressional sources with the matter were involved.

There is nothing that corroborates this statement

One thing for sure, Just the News is an extremely bias-to-the-right news source

Just the News - Right Bias - Questionable - Conservative - Republican - Not Credible or Reliable

Just to note, that happened under Trump.

I wonder what happens to those women and girls if they are caught with American provided condoms?

Or any condoms.

Almost certainly a lie.

Sounds like graft and corruption to me.

Your left wing “fact checkers” are dead. Nobody is believing your bullshit.

You're right. It was tucked into the $2.3 Trillion bill the Democrat controlled Congress put together, all 5,593 pages of it that NOBODY had read before voting on it. And the bill was liberally peppered with little gifts to this or that such as the $10 million to the Pakistanis.

Trump was in the last 30 days of his presidency and had no choice but to sign the bill or else bring deep suffering down on a lot of people.

But for sure that is something Elon and his team will be looking at with changes in rules, procedures, processes to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future.

Then you should have NO PROBLEM producing the notice and the sources, no? I only put that media bias to show supporting evidence for the REASON that the statement was made and they were not provided. Nonetheless, no matter the bias, I only listen to actual data, statistics and facts and those are not there.

Produce them.

Oh for God's sake, 15 million dollars for condoms for girls in Afghanistan living under the Taliban? Do you think a single girl ever got a single condom much less used it? We left these people an air base and something like 80 billion dollars in free military gear all brand new-- let them buy their own condoms.
