No. I was born there when it was in the 60's. It's all different now. Very quiet - new apartment buildings.

I do not know if I saw any mobsters. The closest I saw to anything that made me think "mobsters" was probably about five years ago and I was pedaling past a bar and a car was needlessly double-parked as if to be a barrier of some type for the guys sitting outside. It is not as Italian as it was, as the Russians are moving in, but their headquarters are in Brighton Beach, which isn't far. There are some Italian neighborhoods still, Bay Ridge, where Saturday Night Fever was located.
