At Appleseed events, we tell the story of “dangerous old men,” some of the aged veterans of King George’s War (1744-48) and the French and Indian War (1754-63), who turned out to fight on April 19, 1775. Despite their silvering hair and wrinkled skin, these veterans sent many a Redcoat to meet his maker that day, and one man, Hezekiah Wyman, was so deadly accurate that he was compared to Death himself.

The U.S. Army Marskmanship Unit (AMU), recently awarded another dangerous old man a coveted black hat… among other things:

Ted Gundy, an 86-year-old World Wat [sic] II sniper, was awarded the “black hat,” one of the highest awards of the marksmanship unit, during his visit to Ft. Benning, Ga. He got a few other surprises along the way.

Wow. I hope I'm in that good shape at 86...hell, I hope I'm in that good shape at 60!

WoW, What an amazing Man. He and millions of his generation used guns to guarantee us our freedoms and now a kid is expelled form school for pointing his finger like a gun. Our schools are doing this country a great disservice and putting our freedoms at risk by teaching the next generation that guns are evil. Makes me sick.

Thanks, great video, brought a tear to the old eye.

If I see 60 without being confined to a wheelchair and/or senile, it will be a miracle. Hell, if I see 60 at all, it will be a miracle.
