No worries...I am sure that during my stay on this board that I will manage to alienate both the left and the rightwingers here because I tell the truth and it's not always pretty...some may be able to handle it and try to benefit from the 12,000 plus hours I have spent trying to figure out how we got to this place while others will try and demonize and marginalize me...it is what it is. I spent almost 3 years in Detroit, Michigan and it was an eye-opening experience and that was the start of my journey. I purposely moved to a poor part of Detroit after a year of working there. I was the minority and those folks accepted me as one of their own. I set aside a certain amount of money every pay day and randomly selected people to buy groceries for and/ or buy their dinner or their lunch as God led me to do. I have got to tell you about this one time...I was at a Ponderosa steak place and I asked God to pick out someone that I could buy dinner for while I waited for my take out order. People came in and I wasn't moved...then an elderly lady came in and ordered a bunch of chicken wings to go and I knew she was the one. The only problem was that the jacket I was wearing had holes in the pocket and I had put my bank card in the jacket and couldn't find it but I had some cash in my pocket. I came up and told her "I got this, Merry Christmas" as she was digging through her purse to come up with the money.... she started weeping and thanking me and I got a little weepy eyed as well because of her response.....guess how much the order was? 27 dollars and change...guess how much I had in my pocket at the time? That's right...27 dollars and change. That was God's way of telling me that I listened to him. After she left and we shared a hug, I finally found my bank card so I could pay for my order. It was a small gesture but to her it meant so much. All we have is each other and the powers that be want us divided along racial, economic, political and religious lines because we are easier to conquer that way. We unite in one voice? We can kick their asses to the curb and make this country great again.
