Back When SNL Was Funny

This is my all time favorite SNL skit, it would never get written today. . .

For a while, it was banned on YouTube.

 
SNL stopped being funny back in the early 1980's, but saw a bit of a comeback later on. I don't have television, so I never watch it these days, but remember laughing 'til my gut hurt at sketches over the years with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy.

Interesting thing about Richard Pryor: He was originally supposed to be one of three rotating hosts (Lilly Tomlin and George Carlin being the other two), but the whole three-host idea was scrapped when Pryor dropped out. Apparently, his brand of comedy was not censor-friendly...
