asteroid worth 10,000 quadrillion dollars

ONE asteroid is worth more than all the world's economies combined.

It's called I6 Psyche, and it's now visible from earth.

Ready to mine.

Elon, are you listening?

Was watching Elon talk about his Neuro brain technology.

The dude is a common day Howard Hughes, just a gift to world and a symbol of the American Dream that so many of us yearn for.

if anyone can grab that asteroid and make all the wealthy resource investors poor overnight due to the mass influx of supply it is Elon.

Endless resources are available out in the asteroid belt.
We just need a better and cheaper way to get to them.
It will be a while yet, as we are still taking baby steps at space exploration.
The problem is that value is based on scarcity. If you have an over abundance of anything--it will lose its value., Case in point, the US money supply.

I am thinking resources more for building, operating and living in space.
If we ever get to the point of building larger structures or ships in orbit or out in the belt itself.

Did anyone actually read the article? ... the asteroid is made of iron ... woot ... maybe recycling metal is cheaper? ...

It cost China $180 million to return 4 pounds of lunar surface material with the Chang'e 5 mission ... one asteroid would bankrupt the world's economy completely ...

Recycled iron runs about 10¢ a pound ... the iron in the asteroid belt would only be useful there in the asteroid belt ... bringing it back to Earth will be more expensive than the ten cents per pound that recyclers pay for Earthly garbage ...

I don't know why the article claims iron is a "precious metal" ... other than they're liars ...

The Pentagon is already out there, $6 Trillion unaccounted for

Is that 10,000 quadrillion dollars based on current market prices or prices after oversupplying the markets?

That's not that much money ... just recycling value ... $10,000,000,000,000,000,000 / 20,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg ≈ 25¢/lbs ...

Iron is the fourth most common element in the Earth's crust ... it's already oversupplied ...

It's going tp 0.00000000025 ¢/lb then.
