It's not just when there is inflation, our wages should continually increase right? The problem for typical Americans, is that our wages and salaries do not rise nearly as quickly as prices do when there is inflation.
That's how our laws are written & implemented. Not strictly a "Democrats" thing.Democrats love to redefine words or expand the definition of words. Controlling the language is how they try to control people starts. Sadly, it works on a large chunk of our population.
My understanding is that only jobs that are protected by a union get cost of living raises (at least where I am currently). Why is this restricted to only union jobs? Inflation negatively impacts everyone.
If you spend less than you earn you've defeated inflation. I'm a high school grad working a low skilled job and this year I banked $70,000.It's not just when there is inflation, our wages should continually increase right?
Ideally, your wages should continually increase while the cost of the basic necessities of life remain fairly stable, putting you ahead of the inflation curve. During times of inflation, more of your wages have to go to the now increased costs of goods & services, leaving people with less or no disposable income. Worse case scenario is when you can no longer afford the goods & services you previously could.
