Sure advancement in technology, but what about humans?

Music: Anyone think music today is on the level of the 60s and 70s for example, even the 80s, never mind fantastic classical, jazz and melodies. Today Taylor Swift, wholly fuck, even Madonna produced good music.

TV: Happy Days, Seinfeld, The Waltons, shit Gilligan's Island. The list is long, nice respectable things. Today primarily reality shows, sex, shallow shit. Walter Cronkite, good men who gave us the news. Today it's 24/7 lies.

Movies: Sound of Music to Wholly fuck, a progressive slide into oblivion since sometime 1980s. Now they're woke, weak, dishonest, uncreative and cowards.

Vehicles: Granted gas powered vehicles deliver far less pollution, and are safer. But most vehicles lack style, they're plastic, and electric vehicles are a lie intended to be replaced. No doubt some of you have no idea how vehicles were made prior to say approx. 1973. They were built with fine materials, and well, some works of art. You will never find that in today's vehicles short maybe MAYBE a Rolls Royce, but I doubt it. As reliability is concerned, todays engines last longer. Nothing like a vintage big block chevy for instance. The vehicles were built to be respected, and most of those left are. Shit, I know a guy whose restoration is worth minimum 180K. Cost 4K new.

Plastic and age of environment protection: Speak of plastic, as our children "learn" in school we're the age of saving our environment. You can tell by what were once respected beaches for instance, with loads of single serving trash left for someone else to bother with. Prior to single servings, we actually used these things called metals and glass. Stuff made of minerals, and that "rare" resource called sand. And don't get me started on the common liberal, they're the worst offenders. Shit in the day we left roaches behind 😁 . Today they leave cartridges, still can't figure out what that's for, new-age drugs no doubt.

Education: Education in woke, even Marxism on good terms, open books, and reduce classrooms to the least intelligent. Pass students with low results, even for college degrees, so they can make a career of an inability to write, think, and dependence on others. Score a 100K loan so you can attend your favorite institution for a great time, and a degree in liberals arts and social work. Then expect Biden and Kamala to bail you out on someone else's dime. Fuck, even Harvard has become a joke.

Common sense and ability: Back in the day we actually had to solve problems, like fix things, and be inventive. Today most people only know how to attend to their "phone", as it spells for you, does math for you, and guides you so you don't have to calculate stuff.

Politics and Justice. We sure advanced when we leveled the playing field for blacks and women. Yeah, that was the 60s. I still remember the day when the worst said about POTUS was things like "read my lips, no new taxes". That was chimed by the left of course, perhaps their beginning of intellectual dishonesty, because they love taxes; look at democracked districts for proof. Now we have cadences that Trump's coming after our democracy, so they pull him into courts corrupting their "justice" system. Meanwhile, they insist that racism must be a thing, and install a radical leftist into a general election without their "democracy".

Freedom: Yeah right, we're more free today. You can really tell by govt. overreach, attacking people's livelihoods because of woke, and left-censorship, and selling our information to anyone who wants it.

Home ownership and immigration: Gosh, I wonder why home prices are so high? Couldn't be runaway immigration, people doing with less. Compare and contrast how many annual household incomes it takes to buy a house to that in the past.

Life: Guilty, I'm on the computer now. Really, I was removing caulking from the gutters until it rained. Decades past, children did things worth while. Can't do that today, too many drugs, alcohol, bad people and fragility. So our gadgets take place of life, and they try to teach us how we're supposed to think; aint that right leftists? Back in the day, we had much in common, because we weren't spoiled by technology. Meanwhile, the left insist diversity is for the common good, and makes us stronger. Sure, you might want to bring race into it, but back in the day, where I lived, didn't matter what the fuck color you were. Now we're supposed to lie, and walk on thin ice so nobody is offended.

Fat and lazy: You might be surprised to learn people in other countries aren't fat as fuck. And I wouldn't feel right to bring up what was the beautiful State of California. Democracks ruined the place, and your State is next.

Dogs: Besides technology, which includes some medicine, where exactly has US society advanced? Dogs.........Dogs man, because they're real, and take us away from the BS. Dogs are taken care of so much better overall, short a lot of meth users and such, and if one is running loose the entire world panics.

The regression is occurring everywhere but particularly in the West. Citizens who live in places like China and Russia cannot truly say they had the same "good old days" as Western capitalists did.

The problem is that there are too many with deep pockets and influence who see the immense power the oligarchs in other countries wield and they say "hey, I want that for myself too! Why should I have to live under these mortal rules"?

Therein lies the decline. Little do they know, in time, like all such systems that are centralized and ultimately more authoritarian; the decline impacts everything from culture to morality.

WALL-E correctly depicted the future of our society.

I can't wait to get the new album from Mason Ramsey tomorrow night at midnight! It is to consist of nothing but old school music. :) :) :)

God bless you and him always!!!

The decline of our Republic and going into a centralized government run by unelected bureaucrats has destroyed all that was once good in America. When Trump had the House and Senate, they should have closed 3/4 of the federal government agencies and sent them back to the States and local municipalities. That's really the only way I can see out of this mess is Trump wins and Congress houses are Republicans. Then, destroy much of the federal bureaucratic agencies. Use the tax money to pay down the national debt quickly.

Say, how about art? Ever enter a fine museum that included a contemporary art section? I did in Florence, recently. OMG, the art past. Oh Hell, today's art is a travesty.

How about materials installed into new homes? My girlfriend has an upper middle class newer place in the MiState of California. Junk, often mandated. Built to replace because it doesn't even work. Materials in general are shit, because we shut the doors on quality made in the USA, in favor of Chinese junk.

Oh wow, never heard of him That's class and talent.

Love your name. Would have been mine if born a girl. Course this day and age, I suppose I could declare I was :abgg2q.jpg:

To add to that, contract with the private sector to carry shit out. I worked lots of govt. and private, and tell no lies that one hour in the private sector is 100 in the public sector, and the public sector will do it wrong.

I remember the days that people working for the government eventually wanted to get out of their government jobs and work in the private sector doing work for the government. It used to pay a lot better. With all the wasteful public pensions and overspending, it's now more profitable to get a good government job. Federal, State, County, whatever...

Meh, there have always been "back in the day" whiners. ALWAYS.

That may be so, atleast on the surface

But we all know if Trump wins, and a Republican majority in Congress......the left will go stark raving mad and chaos ensues

The Western lifestyle is not sustainable in the long run as it consumes too much and is too expensive to maintain , so the Royals are leveling the living standard so that when they eradicate borders for their world government, there will be no reason for people to migrate en masse. The smart people in business know this, which is why they are trying to accumulate as much capital as possible ( eg; Wall St Insider trading,,, corporate greed).

No "President" is going to stop Agenda 2030 ( the progression towards centralization of power and technocratic fascism under the cloak of "Saving the Planet"). Trump could delay their timeline but they are never going to let him get near the white house again anyways . The two so-called "assassination attempts" I suspect, were just a SETUP for when they REALLY BRING IN A KILL TEAM and assassinate him; of course, there will be the obligatory "WHITE KID with the AR15" to provide credibility to the lone nut theory. By having 2 attempts by "Lone Nuts" only lends to the credibility of a "Lone Nut" finally succeeding in killing Trump. They will say that there have been several lone nuts trying to kill him, so one finally succeeded and the masses will buy it.

You should listen to them. Perhaps you could address the OP instead, we're progressing instead of regressing because..........................Go!

Mason is the young man who introduced himself to the world six years ago when he sang Hank Williams Sr. "Lovesick Blues" in the Harrisburg, Illinois Wal-Mart store. Sadly, I didn't get swept up into his whirl wind until just over a year ago, but ever since then, it is a storm that I never want to be let loose from, I love him so very much! :) :) :)

God bless you and Mason always!!!

I began to dislike what was passing as music, television, and movies many years ago. Luckily, I find these easy to avoid and having done so, I'm not in any position to offer any sort of a fair opinion.

As for vehicles, the crap Detroit was turning out during most of the 1970's and 80's was horrendous. My first brand new car, a 1976 Dodge Aspen, was a piece of crap. I did like its Mopar slant-six that offered good performance, although we were stuck with the double-nickel speed limit.

As for the environment, it was awful. Love Canal, acid rain and the Cuyahoga River catching on fire were a few of the topics I remember from 50 years ago. I recall taking my kids back to Ohio in the 1980's and being pleasantly surprised at the beaches being opened for swimming that had been posted closed due to pollution back when I was a kid.

I'll stop here, coming up on 9:00pm and I haven't turned TV on today. Time to catch some stuff I subscribe to on YouTube.

Some things are better some things are not, but as an old guy I can assure all readers that we had far more "freedoms" fifty years ago. Kids were mostly "free" to play outside, walk to school and simply be kids. Adults were free to crack a cold can of beer on a long dusty road without the fear of it ruining their lives. If we heard the phone ring we were free to stay outside and not even have to know who was calling us. We could spend money, make money and save money without any government agency knowing anything about it. We were free to speak our minds openly without the fear of getting fired. Andrew Dice Clay,,,he would never be free to say the things he said back then. He once gave sage advice "Be free to be the pig that you are". Sure there have always been "back in the days" whiners, but the steady loss of freedom that all Americans have witnessed, saddens me.
