The Soviets could have occupied Finland after WW2 because Finland had been on Hitlers side, they didn't do that as longas Finland was neutral and had friendly relations with the Soviets, and that is what happened for 80 years, then for some reason the politicians in Finland decided to be an enemy of Russia again by joining Nato, there is probably money at the bottom of it, i didn't notice ant referendum on joining Nato in Finland or Sweden.
