As Black History Month comes to a close, there are some things that still need to be taught to many Americans.

Many whites, but there are also members of every race, including us black folks, who have repeated a manufactured version of King that was not who he really was. MLK was one of the great American revolutionaries. Perhaps the greatest. And I mean greater than the so-called founders. King led a movement that overthew facism without using the military. And if you don't think Jim Crow was fascism, think again.

Americans on the right love to bring up his philosophy of nonviolence when blacks start speaking in harsh tones. King did advocate nonviolence, but he did not support shut up and take it. His nonviolence plan was about direct action and confrontation.

Mornin' IM2.
Here is something about 15 miles from me, I thought you would find interest and appears to be professionally done. I saw it mentioned in a report on ABC7 and CBS7 Eye Witness news, here locally. Happy Black History Month.

Rosa Parks didn`t take anyone`s shit, either. She pretty much told them to shove that Jim Crow garbage where the sun never shines. A courageous woman she was.

So what are you saying? Violence is the answer? Lolol

Thank you for educating us white folks IM2. You are a credit to the black community and keep us informed on the great contributions of those with a darker pigment of the skin.

Happy black history month to you too. It has gone too fast!

Maybe, they reported what THEY saw while he was still with us.

I was 19 when he died, and I likely had a far different view of him than you did as a toddler/pre-teen.

You can't read.

King did advocate nonviolence, but he did not support shut up and take it. His nonviolence plan was about direct action and confrontation.
So the last person who should be questioning the use of violence is some white right wing civil war wanting second amendment loving zealot such as you.

If the

If the occasion calls for it, absolutely. It was the riots and upheaval in the late 60s that got us out of that rotten war in Southeast Asia.
If violence isn’t the answer how can you explain why you rated this post a fact? IM2

Jimmy Hendrix did more for Blacks than MLK.

MLK has been used as the prototype for black race hustlers ever since they offed him.
