Talk about your extremes.... Yesterday a Colt Python and today this hideous thing!

I was hanging out at the local pawn shop and a guy brought in a bunch of guns for sale and I noticed the Armscorp.

Over the past few years I've read about them and while everyone is in agreement that they are ugly as sin they also agree that they work.

This one, like many newer guns that come to the shop are all from the local Rural King. They list it for $239.00 but they run them on sale all the time for around $180.00 or so.

I gave them $150.00 for it, took it home and removed the packing oil, (it was unfired) made sure the screws were all tight. I grabbed a box each of .38 spl. 158gr LSWCHP "FBI loads" and a box of 148 gr wadcutters and headed down to my range.

At 17 yards it shot POA with both types of ammo and I had no issues. It produced more than acceptable groups and with a very nice DA trigger pull. The service sight are cut well and I had no trouble picking them up. The hard rubber grips are just fine.

I was in need of a "garage gun" so this will do just fine and I won't have to look at it much. ;)

Damn it's ugly though. :eusa_wall:

They also make a snubby (M206) and it uglier yet!

What does "garage gun" mean?
Exactly what it implies.....A weapon you keep out in the garage for use on two or four-legged critters.

I had a Glock 19X out there someone had buggered up the frame on but was otherwise OK but I got a new frame for it, so I "needed" something else. I certainly was not gonna return what now looks like a new 19X out there.

As an example, the next-door neighbor keeps a Mossberg 12ga pump in his. The guy across the street an AR pistol.

There was a spat some years back where WV tweakers were driving about in landscaping trucks hitting open garages. They hit one out in the county while a guy was working on his PU.

He pulled an old double barrel out he had stashed there and sent them fleeing. The SD caught them minutes later after he called it in.

Ugly? Not so much. Those hammerless snubbies are really Butt Ugly.
I've no experience with this gun, but do have some with a Rock Island 1911...(.45). Not a bad gun at all. Better than a Kimber .45!
Let the flames begin! :)
