Under the seat there's a switch you gotta rig so it doesn't turn off if you see a stick you gotta pick up.

really- i will have to look-
There are typically 3 and sometimes 4 interlocks on newer mowers. The one under the seat, one on the emergency brake, one on the blade clutch, and sometimes one for reverse.

To start the engine, the e-brake must be on, the blades disengaged, and the operator sitting on the seat.

I think Cubs can mow in reverse, Deere's have a button you have to hold down.

The interlock switches can't just be disconnected because it leaves the circuit open. You have to make a jumper wire with spade connectors that takes the place of the switch. Unplug the switch, replace it with the jumper, and the engine will start with no one in the seat.

This is my favorite little yard/field machine. It cuts through tall grass, daisies, scotchbroom, blackberries, whatever you throw at it. Easy to push around, doesn't care about rocks or rough ground or if the grass is wet...

Is it 2-stroke? How long/heavy of a trimmer line will it pull effectively?
Is that the default head it comes with?

It has a 4-stroke Briggs and Stratton 675EXI motor.

Uses .155" line and has a 22" cutting swath just like a typical walk-behind mower. The trimmer head shown is stock. It is adjustable for height in 1/2" increments. Pre-cut line is available at my local Tractor Supply store, they are 18" in length and doubled when installed on the trimmer head like you see in the picture.

It's a beast of a trimmer, my echo hand-held 2-stroke does not even come close.

Just to illustrate- one day I got too close to one of the inspection ports in my drainfield. The ports are made of 4" PVC sewer pipe, they stick up about 8" above the ground. Cap on the top and a tee on the bottom, wrapped in trench fabric to keep the dirt out. You can look down the pipe and see what's going on below ground- make sure the ground is not saturated and the drainfield is working properly.

In an instant the trimmer cut through the PVC and shattered the section of pipe above the ground. I had to dig it up and put in a new piece. Now I have the ports protected by cinder blocks, lol.

That looks fun! That's one way to cut PVC. Did ya do it with the machine for the repair? :D

I'm a hacksaw type, but I've seen it done with plumbing line.
