Republican TV Debate Smashes Ratings Record - Yahoo News UK

So, the TV debate yesterday smashed the record.

How's that the case? How is it that a bunch of politicians suddenly get given their own debate show and it breaks records. Never before has it happened?

I'm getting the feeling that Murdoch and Trump are making reality TV, and they're doing it very well. People are being taken for the ride, and they're enjoying it, politics has become what it should never, ever be, ENTERTAINMENT.

The Republicans are playing the entertainment game, the Democrats aren't. What does this mean? Are many undecided voters going to jump on the entertainment bandwagon, or are they going to see it for what it is?
Are Republicans going to revel in the entertainment, or will they start taking things more seriously later on and Trump will lose out?

All in all it's getting a bit ridiculous.
