Americans know -- whether the flock admits it or not -- that things are bad at the grocery store. We also know -- whether the flock admits it or not -- that Trump is a habitual liar.

His "I don't want to hear about affordability" line was him accidentally being honest for a moment. He can insult his base any time he wants, because he knows they'll let him.
