74-year-old Fargo man who assaulted girls, used racial slur gets 2 years behind bars
Larry Baldner said he accepted responsibility for his actions, but a prosecutor said the defendant tried to shift blame to the victims.

"Cass County Judge Susan Bailey handed down the sentence on Monday, April 3, to Larry Wayne Baldner, a 74-year-old who previously pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, a Class C felony, and simple assault, a misdemeanor. The sentence was for a Sept. 21, 2021, confrontation Baldner had with children on a driveway he shared with neighbors at his duplex - he came home to five children playing basketball in the driveway, and he told the children to get off his property, according to a criminal complaint.
An 11-year-old girl who lived next to Baldner told police the children had permission to play on the driveway, according to the complaint. Baldner slapped the girl across the face, the complaint said. The girl and her sister confronted Baldner, who then grabbed the 11-year-old by the neck and hair, the complaint. He lifted her off the ground and choked her, according to the complaint. In arguing for a two-year sentence, prosecutor Joshua Traiser wrote in a sentencing brief that Baldner let his anger control him and took his actions too far."
According to other witnesses, it was Baldner who was defending himself from an attack by the children -- he had no other choice but to defend himself - and yet he is the one being sentenced to 2 years? How is this justice? Why aren't these little savages being charged for striking him? Just because she is 11, she gets a pass? Everyone knows that black children at that age essentially possess superhuman strength, why is this not being taken in account?
It was a time not long ago that this wouldn't be allowed. Now more and more the systematic racism against white men in particular is at a level never before seen in this country. In fact, there has never been this type of systemic racial bias against a group than what we are now experiencing today...and it isn't just in the criminal justice system, it is everywhere...in our schools, the workplace, even our beer....in fact, brilliant conservative philosopher Charlie Kirk brilliantly pointed out that whites are no longer allowed to be in TV commercials..how is this not a bigger story?
