Nice ‘god I hope this is true’ post.

Your story came from the Arkansas Advocate and mine came from the Asia Times.
There is probably some truth in both of them, along with a lot of editorial commentary.

In any case I can say for a fact that the Chinese have been investing quite intensely in South American, and it started long before President Trump's first term, much less his tariffs. You can find an extensive list of the reasons if you search properly, and it has more to do with suckering third world countries into exposing themselves to predatory investment practices on the back of short-term gains.

Where are the US trade deals to counter the Chinese government’s expansion?

Shitler! criticized every attempt to create trade deals by Obama and Biden to counter this trade expansion.

All he as done is create a vacuum and screw us long term.

Goldman Sachs doesn’t agree with your offered article.

Sending millions to South America annually from the National Treasury isn't trade, and more like international welfare. Talking about working with The IMF and other players, is exactly what the money launderers in Washington DC want to do.

The American interests competing against the Chinese in South America aren't our federal government, but American corporations. If the federal government gets involved, it will only include more corruption, corporate welfare, and international meddling.

That's the difference with tariffs and trade policy, because they are controlled within our domain, our nation gets the proceeds, we don't have to partner with questionable governments, and we don't have to try and compete with the cheaters who don't respect us and have been screwing us for decades, and especially over offshore interests.

China is building a trade infrastructure to rare earth minerals and grain trade.

Shitler! is importing fat white afrikaners, sending billions to prop up Argentina and other import their beef to undercut our beef farmers.

Is his plan to bailout our farmers every year to the tune of billions.

Would that be a decent example of the corruption you can expect if the federal government gets involved with offshore interests?

What corruption are you referring too? Shit, corporations engage in far more illegal dealing than governments.

Like the Central American banana wars or wars for oil.

Government corruption is what I am referring to, like when I mentioned getting the National Treasury and politicians involved.
Of course, corporations can be corrupt as well, but we don't have to provide for them or protect them when it comes to their offshore dealings.

As far as who is more corrupt, that is a bunch of hogwash, because governments can either make the laws to protect their interest, or choose which laws they want to enforce at any given time to protect their interests.

That’s because govt has sovereign immunity

What do you mean by national treasury as corruption.

Corporations bribe foreign governments all the time.

And politicians in this country bribe the people, other countries, and the corporations with money from the National Treasury.
