American school lunches should be more "Japanese" or "European"?

Capitalism is responsible for our obesity. Obviously.

Food producers make food that is tasty and that demands over-consumption. They make food that pretends to be "healthy" but is nothing of the sort. Our whole culture promotes eating, and not only eating, but eating unhealthy foods in massive quantities. Fast foods are - ready for this? - delicious, which is why we keep coming back. Coca Cola and other soft drinks have zero nutritional value but are loaded with caffeine, sugar, and artificial flavorings that we love.

Healthy foods are no fun, rarely delicious, and leave you feeling hungry shortly after consuming them.

The solution, one that thousands of companies are looking for, is healthy food that is delicious and leaves you feeling full. We'll get there eventually.

Perhaps kids and teens would be healthier.

Its not a cultural issue, its a FOOD issue.
Schools used to serve REAL food, made in the school kitchens. There was none of this premade, fabricated bullshit.
Thats what American public schools need to go back to, and get rid of all the "fast food" and premade shit they have nowadays. Start feeding kids REAL food, not toxic junk.

Maybe references to ethnicity should abandoned in favor of healthy alternatives that the students choose to eat.
Maybe you should stop dictating to people what language they should use like the little brown-shirt that you are.

Lobbyism, not capitalism. The sugar lobby spent millions on directing research away from sugar and towards fats and cholesterol to build up the lie that those were the problem. Carbs and sugar are the actual problems, which have caused the rise in obesity and diabetes.
