OK, this is something I’ve wondered about and it’s time for me to ask. I’ve seen a lot of those American body cam police arrests. I’m not interested in knowing when or under what circumstances the police are allowed to conducts a body search. That’s pretty much self-explanatory.
Here’s what I want to know:

*
As I understand it a male police officer can conduct a frisk search on a male suspect but not on a female suspect. What is the consequence of him frisking a female? To search a female suspect they usually get a female police officer on the scene. I think this is probably true.

* Can a female police officer frisk-search a male suspect?

* If a male suspect does not give consent to being frisked by a female police officer what is the consequence if she does it anyway?

* Can a transexual (formerly considered a transvestite) require a female officer to conduct the frisk?

* If a self-proclaimed female suspect is frisked by a female police officer only to discover the suspect is ā€œpackingā€, can the female police officer (or the state) press charges for "exposing himselfā€?

Any other question I should have asked? :26:

Old laws enacted in the democracy are being thrown out and replaced with Trump's laws.

It is highly encouraged for men to not frisk women and vice versa, and in normal circumstances they are expected not to. That being said, sometimes the situation is too urgent and exceptions have to be made. Safety is the number one priority for law enforcement.

Give me an example.

What does a male grope and a female stroke have to with satety?

Pat searches have a real, practical use. It's to make sure somebody isn't hiding something dangerous to themselves or others, particularly the officers.

Typically there is enough time or there are enough officers readily available that things can be done the preferred way. However there has to be exceptions that can be made in emergency situations.

If people are hurt or dying or whatever the case may be, and you don't have a female officer present right at that moment, but a female really needs to be pat searched right now for officer safety reasons, an exception can be understood, no?

You do everything you can to do things the right way, but sometimes emergencies force us outside of normal parameters.

Of course. But what does safetly have to do with cross gender searches? How is a male police officer patting down a female suspect .... or maybe a female police officer patting down a male suspect .... less safe?
