America can't have universal healthcare because there are too many illegals and fat people

Along with corporate greed.

Illegals who would take advantage of such a system.

Fat people who would weigh the system down.

Am I right?

We have about twice as many hospitals as our closest socialized friends and about 8 times as many hospitals as Canada. Japan is #1 and we are #2, but apparently Japan has lots of nut houses.

Well, the UK has a lot of fat people, and a lot of illegal immigrants, and the NHS costs LESS per capita than what the US federal government spends on health care.

Figure out that messed up nonsense.....

Medicine can make fat people skinny..big news right now.

Illegals already take 'advantage' if that's the word, of our medical system. No one gets turned away from a hospital anymore..in fact, it's illegal to even ask about payment until after the service is rendered.

Now about corporate greed...you got me on that one...vote Democrat?

Yeah..but the NHS has a handle on drug prices..unlike the US.

Why does the NHS have a handle on drug prices, and why doesn't the US?

Why does the NHS have a handle on drug prices, and why doesn't the US?
Because the NHS won a court case 2017 involving price controls on UK drugs. They have some say in pricing--I don't think we do, now do we?
Thus, we pay more..adding to our Healthcare costs.

To quote: UK pharma concedes defeat on NHS drug cost controls -

The Budget Impact Test will allow NHS England to open price negotiations on any NICE-approved drug which may cost more than £20 million in any of its first three years on the market.
NHS England says this is a practical measure to ensure ‘affordability’ – something that NICE doesn’t consider, as it focuses purely on cost effectiveness

While the ABPI says it has maintained a positive dialogue with NICE, NHS England and the Department of Health, the bitter row won’t have helped relations at a difficult time.

There you go. The reason why the US is paying more is because the RICH control government. The UK has FPTP just like the US, but the UK seems a little more sensible (though not when Boris the New Yorker was in power, coincidence that he is American?).

This is the issue, that for any issue to ever be solved, it seems that the UK needs to change the way people elect their government to Proportional Representation.

Elected dems and republicans have health care... they have the best healthcare one can get... so why would anyone think they care or will make our care better?...
They have 24-7 security so why would anyone think they care about crime?....
They care about one thing... re election and holding on to their job.... we have allowed their positions to get too comfortable and profitable...
TERM LIMITS NOW....
