Amateurism? French paper: Palestinian terrorist came from city of 'Bezek'

It could have been funny: Liberation.fr clamed that terrorist who attacked Jewish civilians in Jerusalem yesterday came from the city of 'Bezek', even going as far as actually placing it on the map, near the WB.

Only problem is, such a city doesn't exist (not in this century...) anywhere in that area. Doesn't exist at all, as a matter of fact. Bezek (They probably meant Bezeq) is Israel's top phone company and telecommunications group.

The company's name became an issue when it turned out that the terrorist, Alaa Abu-Jamal from East Jerusalem worked at the Israeli company. It drew alot of criticism and questions. But how a phone company suddenly won the title of an entire city in a self-respecting newspaper is the question. Just another evidence of the complete lack of knowledge global journalism has on the most basically Israeli issues.
