Am I The Only One Who Never Got Wisdom Teeth?

It is just a name and has nothing to do with intelligence.
They named it that because they come in around the age you become a young adult, and supposedly have acquired some wisdom. (These days, though….)

Mine were removed at age 20.

I never got mine pulled since they didn't cause any issues with my teeth. Most dentist want to pull them because they claim it's hard to brush them properly...

So is that a yes or a no lol

It was so long ago I'm not sure I remember, I remember getting my tonsils out in the hospital and I stayed overnight and my mom stayed with me, and I got to eat lots of ice cream! That was when doctors were good and hospitals didn't suck, but the wisdom teeth, I think the answer is :yes_text12:

I have all four and they are very painful. I have to get those sons of bitches out of my mouth. I hope I can get all four removed in the same dentist appointment.

I got them out but the surgeon used to much pressure and my jaw was almost shut closed . I had to eat baby food for several weeks

This came up in discussion earlier today so I got curious. Thirty-four years old and my X-rays at the dentist office never showed them even starting to grow in.
The joke writes itself.

Okay and btw, I got my tonsils out too.

The guy who hired me for my first job never grew any and so he has absolutely no idea how painful the removal surgery is.

God bless you and him always!!!

P.S. I got mine removed during my senior year of high school in early 2000. It was done on a Thursday morning and so I missed school that day and the next. I went back to school the following Monday and so I had four days to recover which I needed each day due to the fact that I had eight teeth removed all together. Yep. Four more in my mouth had to be removed and so I had each of them taken all at once.

My story is awful. I got my wisdom teeth out, and I was back at home (living with my parents) only a few hours when the phone rang: my grandmother had passed away. The next day, I was at her funeral, and it was out-of-town, too.

RIP, Grandma.

Wow that sucks.

Oh and I'm pretty surprised to see that more people never got wisdom teeth than I thought.
