A concept of US centric threat perception, and imposing that threat perception on countries to follow suit, does not have validity in International Relations.
Every country will follow policies which are in her national interests.
These national interests can become invalid, once the world community under bodies like UN define a common policy.
So, once UN, with the backing of majority of world community, declares, that there should be imposed sanctions on Iran, Turkey as a neighbour would follow suit, allthough these sanctions would stand diametral to Turkish interests.
Turkey is a neighbouring country and can make Iran sanctions useless by giving Iran an artery of life.
Even further, Turkey will take the market share within Iranian market of sanction implementing countries.
Turkey, may feel competition from Iran on maybe several different issues regarding Middle-East, but being in competition does not make valid imposing sanctions over the people of Iran, even more when there are capabilities available to counter that competition.
Iranian-Turkish border is peacefull since 17th century.
The threat perception by Israel does anyway have no validity. Israel herself is minimum the same problem as Iran is. In contrast to "hearing and saying"-rumours of Iranian nuclear weapon programms, the Israelian timeline and records of aggression in the region is available to every objective brain out there.
Also Israel is not signatory of NPT and its nuclear programme is not under supervision of the world community. Out of these criminal activities Israel produced nuclear weapons.
It is cynical to impose sanctions on Iran based on an Israelian threat perception of Iranian nuclear weapons.
Every functional brain should come to the conclusion, that the possesion of WMD's (nuclear) by a regional country will trigger activities in other countries to balance these WMD's. Even more in a highly unstable region like Middle East.
So, what are the solutions being presented?
From sanctioning to bombing Iran. It goes even so far in trying to legitimize Iran sanctions on the base-ground of averting Israelian attack on Iran.
Israelian attack on Iran means aggressive attack on a sovereign nation.
Even the slightest possibility of an Israelian attack should be addressed by world community in blackmailing the potential aggressor. This aggressor, congruent to its overall profile of interaction with the region, is Israel.
So, the only conclusion as a justice orientated person is to say:
Don't go on my nuts with your sanctions based on "hearing and saying"-propaganda, following a strategy of distracting the brains from the real problems.
