I have mixed emotions about the death penalty since it has claimed the innocent.

I knew a guys brother from Southwest Philly who was railroaded to death row. He finally got sprung and got millions of $$$. And moved to England and married his penpal.

Four white guys and only one black guy?

What happened to racial equity?

Yes, that would be my problem with it. Miscarriages of justice and all that.

Besides, wouldn’t the greater punishment be incarceration for the rest of one’s life.

Great Post and yes I'd rather be put to sleep that sit in a cell under the worse conditions.

I watched a show and this one offender had no contact with humans unless he was sick. They had 3 locks....his cell, his middle holding cell and his exercise cell.

When they brought him his food they moved him into the middle holding cell. Put the food in his main cell, leave it and than close the gate. Than open the middle holding cell and he would return to his main cell as they closed the gate.

Talk about living hell. He will never attack anyone again !

Can't remember but I think he killed a CO (correction officer) and another inmate.

Incarceration for life would be worse if they were made to work like a chain gang, but the way some prisons are now it's just like free room and board for some of them.
