Djokovic looked old and slow and inconsistent

He is still a top 7 player but his skills have eroded

He's obviously still in the top 4 as he's made 5 straight SF's in Majors since last season, actually getting to his favorite slam final at the Aussie Open! He's barely trying & still hanging in there! Most players couldn't achieve what he's done this last season in their entire careers! His mediocrity is superior to 95% of all the men players on tour today! If he looked so fk'n old, how did he swipe the 1st set, unsettling the #1 player in the world before going down in 4? WTF is on the minds of people who say these things? "Now you're chasing Alcaraz & Sinner!" That's stupid AF as he owns all the recs. on the bks.; 24 Majors, 40 Masters, 7 YEC's, 8 YE #1's, & 428 wks. at #1.

Tennis is usually a "see the writing on the wall" kind of sport. Once a player stops winning slams, they don't really break back through. I remember that happened to Lendl, Borg, McEnroe, Andre, and to Roger... he was making SF's all the time, but stopped winning championships.

You never say never, and it's fun to watch Novak still go... but he's on his way out. And as it stands, he's absolutely "chasing" the top 2 players in the game in order to win a last miracle slam.

Yes the opening set he was on form .

Then he was derailed as Alcaraz elevated his game

A mediocre match

After those to fantastic SF's atches, it was a bit anti-climactic! Happens all the time really! I've seen a lot worse; 2003 w/ Agassi over Schüttler! My fave is 2019 w/ Novak over Rafa in straights! It was a demolition! :D :stir::oops::cool:

Agassi had the skills to bang with anyone. !

However he lacked the defensive skills and speed to beat the big 3

I think the French open is the best slam now.

I have been to 9 master tournaments

3 Cincinnati
6 Indian Wells

If Alcaraz stays fit, he can realistically get close to Novak’s Slam numbers.
